The Vihal people are close cousins to the Tegirenai, and their language is thus related. Both languages derive from the ancient tongue Avihalli.
Dusilihan Vihal, the lands of the Vihal, are in the northwest of the continent they share with the Tegirenai, in woodlands and by the coasts. Their society is organized into a confederacy of villages and farming regions, each largely independent of the others.
